Lameeka Pough
She seeketh wool, and flax, And worketh willingly with her hands.

Additionally, I'm an active member of the wardrobe department at Christian Culture Center in Brooklyn, where I find fulfillment in using my skills to serve my church.
For me, being a designer and instructor is not just a career—it's a calling. I believe that by utilizing my imagination, skills, and eye for art, I can serve others and make a meaningful impact. My goal is to continue learning, teaching, building my portfolio, and collaborating with other arts in Theatre, film and television.
Join me on this journey of creativity, growth, and service as we stitch together the fabric of our shared passion for fashion and art.
My career took a fulfilling turn in 2023 when I was hired by El Puente, a youth center that focuses on education, to assist a student with her admissions portfolio into F.I.T. That same year I became the first Fashion Camp Counselor at WriCampia, a two-week sleepaway camp for young writers and arts. Both opportunities sparked my love of working with the youth, teaching and confirmed my passion for sewing. Guiding young minds not only taps into my imagination and creativity but also fuels my growth as a designer.
Currently, I proudly serve as a sewing instructor at the Carter Burden Network, a nonprofit organization for seniors, where I have the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion to my community. I’m also contributing as a Costume Stitcher and Designer for Theatre majors at Columbia University and The New School of Design.
